EPISODE 1

I straightened my clothes once more, asking myself for the umpteenth time, 

''Why am I here on a blind date with a total stranger that I just met on this christian dating app?''

With all the stories I have heard about online dating, I am not sure if I am much more afraid of how the date turns out or how I look. Do you think he will like me?

Before you go about judging, please listen to me first. I am 36-years-old, no child, no suitor and of course I've never been married. My mum is placing just the right amount of pressure on me to make me freak out. If I do not give her grand children before I turn 40, she's gonna have a cardiac arrest. So, now you understand where I am coming from right?

And yes you guessed right, I am a christian and I do believe that God's time is the best but it's a christian dating app, so he must be a christian; nothing much can go wrong, I hope. Oh! he is here and is much more handsome than I expected.

''Hi, hello...humm.'' I know I am sounding stupid at this point.

''Hello, it's Maureen right?'' He asks as he extends his hands towards mine.

Okay, I think I froze for a second, his voice, I can't explain but it is magical.

''Yes. I am Maureen and you are Paul right?'' I finally got my tongue back.

''In the flesh.'' He replies with a beautiful smile.

He is so handsome and funny too, just what I need in a man. I think this is it, I have found the man of my dreams. But what of my shape with all these excess fats, will he find it attractive? He is so well built with biceps and triceps and six packs. I look like a cow beside him; I don't deserve him.

We've been sitting for five minutes now and no one has said a word to the other yet. Trust me when I say I want to talk but I am scared of saying the wrong things. Maybe talking might just drive him away right? I hope he says something coz his look is killing me.

''So tell me about yourself Maureen.'' 

And boom, just like that, cat caught my tongue. What do I say?

    Personally I have no problems with blind dates and wether it will work depends on Maurine and Paul's spec for a dream partner and of course only time can reveal that....

    Concerning Marines character she sounds so agitative and that's because she is desperate which is not a good attitude for believers....

    In my opinion Maureen is right to go on any other kind of date she feels like, provided her motives are clear, plus she is mature enough to know what's not Christ-like in any action a Christian choses to put forth. From another angle, I be to differ with her reasons for setting out for a date, because some how i believe it might cause her or anybody she can influenced to buy a poor relationship just because they think the unnecessary comments from others who won't feed the bills of their adulthood are coming in.
    As for if the relationship will work or not, my guess is no, and it is because i judge the overwhelmedness of Maureen to the young man's physique lustful.

    I deduce a talkative, an extrovert, a church lover girl, lover of social media, mama's daughter in a slim degree, a little less confident. But all her traits rightly aligned makes a lady with a find heart, just too choosy at times to her own disadvantage.

  EPILOGUE   Paul’s mom prays over the issue and gets the confirmation from God. She agrees to the marriage and Paul gets married to Maureen.  A year later, Maureen gives birth to a bouncing baby boy to the Glory of God. The entire family, is happy and lives happily. Moral Lesson God’s will knows no age limits. He is a miracle working God who works at His timing.
